Save the Arizona Water Protection Fund Arizona Water Protection Fund-Protecting Arizona’s River and Riparian Resources

The Arizona Water Protection Fund
operates from a grass roots approach to
encourage individuals and groups to
propose local solutions that generate
broad based support. The AWPF is overseen by a Commission
comprised of 15-members of the public
who fund projects based on a competitive
grant process. Commissioners represent
a variety of land, water use and riparian issue perspectives.

Thank you to our supporters!!! The legislature approved the request to utilize grant funding for program administration in FY 2013. Although this was only a small victory, we are thankful that AWPF will be able to operate another year. It also provides us with an opportunity to continue talking with state legislators about the benefits of the program and how important it is to protecting Arizona’s most precious resource.
