Early morning Domestic Violence incident involving a gun leads to arrest

PXPD Case 26-544

On Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 1038 hours officers received the report of a frantic caller reporting a female was trying to shoot her at a residence in NW Phoenix. Multiple officers, including our partners over at City of Talent Police Department arrived and discovered that the male victim and female suspect had reentered a secondary house and it was unknown where the firearm was. The first two officers on scene were able to call the involved occupants out of the residence and safely detain the subjects without incident.

The investigation led officers to arrest a 23yo female for Burglary 1 x2 and Menacing with a Firearm (Domestic Violence) after she arrived at the residence, unlawfully let herself into the main house, took a firearm that belonged to the victim, and then unlawfully entered a secondary house where the victim was sleeping. She pointed the firearm at the suspect and made claims that she would kill two other females that were also at the residence with the victim male. During the investigation, that involved firearm was located after initially being hidden from officers.

This case is open and ongoing. There is no further information available for release.

β€’ 05/17/2026 1909 hours (pictured) - Officers were dispatched to the report of two females attempting to open trucks of cars parked in a business parking lot near the 3300 block of N Phoenix Rd. This is actually a crime, and highlighting this case that people pay for their trash service, and using other peoples trash cans without permission is theft!

β€’ 05/22/2026 0610 hours (pictured) - Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle accident involving injury near the area of Colver Rd and Jared Ct. Officers arrived on scene and found the male driver had sustained injuries to his arm and head after crashing violently into a ditch after failing to negotiate a turn. 🚨 Speed Enforcement in Downtown Phoenix 🚨

As the weather warms up and summer approaches, we’re seeing more foot traffic, community events, and people out enjoying downtown Phoenix. With that comes an increased focus on traffic safety.

So far in May, our officers have conducted 27 targeted speed enforcement stops in the downtown area. Of those stops, roughly 75% resulted in citations for speeding, with several also involving additional violations. Most of these speed violations were for traveling 40mph or faster in the 25mph zone!

Our goal is to keep downtown safe for everyone, so we ask everyone to please slow down, stay alert, and help us keep Phoenix a safe place this summer. πŸš“β˜€οΈ
