💱 Trading back in time! 🏺

Before there was money, there was bartering! Our 6th grade Social Studies students are getting ready to dive into ancient civilizations by experiencing an early economy firsthand. Students brought items from home and put their negotiation skills to the test as they traded with classmates—no cash allowed! 🤝

A fun way to bring history to life and discover just how much we rely on currency today! 🩵🖤

We can’t wait to see our community hanging out at the Ice Cream Social this Wednesday! We’ll have teachers scooping from 5-6:30, with snowcones as a dairy free alternative. Each person will get a ticket, good for one item. We will also have face painting from Painted Desert Designs Face Painting

🧪✨ Science is GLOWING in 8th grade! ✨🧪

Today, our 8th grade scientists explored thermal energy transfer using glow sticks! 🌡️ Students formed hypotheses about how hot and cold water would affect the glow sticks, then put their predictions to the test.

Nothing like turning down the lights and letting science shine! 💡🔬

Staff Development Day was in full swing yesterday! 📚✨ Content area teachers dug into marking the text and critical reading strategies, while our exploratory teachers collaborated on all things AVID — building common language across every classroom.
