Congratulations to Cibola High School student Talim Arzola for being chosen by Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs’ Office of Youth, Faith, and Family to serve on the 2026-27 Governor’s Youth Commission (GYC).

Out of hundreds of applications, the GYC brings together only 50-70 high school students from all 15 counties across Arizona, representing the state’s demographic and geographic diversity.

Orientation is officially in the books! 🎉

On Saturday, we welcomed the 2026-27 Governor’s Youth Commission for their Orientation/Quarter 1 Meeting! Commissioners connected with fellow student leaders from across the state to share insights and begin shaping their workgroups’ Community Impact Projects for the year.

This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to see how the turns their ideas into action! 🌵
