A Purple Martin nesting condo has been installed at Pickering Preserve! Members of the EAC installed the structure and will be monitoring it for nesting.

Thanks to the Schuylkill Township, Chester County Road Crew for their assistance and Pennsylvania Game Commission for providing the nest structure and educational sign.

We look forward to seeing these PA native birds joining our preserve habitat.

Join us for an iNaturalist Bioblitz at Valley Park, 111 Valley Park Road to develop an inventory of the biodiversity of the park!

Public participation is welcome April 25 from 11 AM to 1 PM, especially experienced iNaturalist users.

Please download the iNaturalist app onto your phone in advance and register as an iNaturalist user.

Parking is limited, so please walk in or
carpool if possible! Instructions will be available at the park.

Schuylkill Township is partnering with Helpsy to recycle used clothing, shoes, accessories, and household linens.

👕 Accepted items: all ages, all genders, any condition — as long as they’re clean, dry, and odorless!

The EAC and volunteers made significant progress this morning, removing 35 bags of the invasive mile-a-minute vine from the Pickering Preserve.
