One of our firefighters, Dave Panetta, is currently in the fight for his life as he undergoes treatment for an aggressive form of cancer. Dave has served with our department for more than a decade, always showing up for our community โ€” and for many others โ€” without hesitation. Now weโ€™re asking our community to show up for him.

A Pig Roast BBQ Benefit is being held this Sunday, May 31st from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Friendship Fire Company at 269 Green Street, Royersford, PA 19468 in support of David 'Dave' Panetta and his family.

This is Emergency Medical Services Week

We send this shout-out to acknowledge and thank our personnel and colleagues who are practitioners of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS). "EMS Week" symbolizes our national recognition and gratitude for the extraordinary service EMS practitioners provide in responding to the emergency healthcare needs of our communities.

Whether it be Basic First Aid & CPR, or the level of Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician or higher, all of your Phoenixville firefighters are certified to some level of medical training. This training is used to assist and supplement ambulance crews when appropriate.

Primary ambulance service in the Borough of Phoenixville is provided by the Phoenixville Division of TowerDirect. Their ambulances and crews are housed at your Phoenixville Fire Department on Paradise Street. When this primary ambulance service is busy handling emergencies, additional medical emergencies will be covered by another EMS agency, such as West End of Phoenixville EMS or Royersford Fire Department EMS.

Our gratitude goes out to EMS providers across our community and beyond as we mark the 52nd Anniversary of EMS Week.
