** UPDATE- 7:10pm The Road is now open!

Contrary to popular belief, we dont shut down roads without a reason.

Currently, Pawlings is shut down at Ferry due to a gnarly crash in Lower Providence in the area of the Pawlings Farm.

To the people who felt it necessary to blow by the emergency vehicles blocking the road, we enjoyed your drive of shame when you got turned around on the other side.

Over the past week, Valley Forge Volunteers have responded to 13 calls for service and operated in service for over 7 hours. Members responded to: 3- Fire Alarms 3- Building Fires 4- Motor Vehicle Accidents 2- Brush Fires 1- Smoke Investigation Outside Additionally, members conducted regular weekly....

🌬💨 The house began to pitch, the kitchen took a slitch, some trees are in a ditch 🎵or whatever they sang in Oz.

It's been a busy night in and around Schuylkill Township. Currently, Ashenfelter Rd is closed due to a severely damaged pole. Barricades are in place to protect you!

We did notice that some of our drive through guests took it upon themselves to move the barricades... multiple times! We're not in charge of the paperwork but we're willing to bet Schuylkill Township Police could tell you the fine for such an un-neighborly act.

We're also happy to report that Whitehorse Rd is open again. Unrelated to anything with the storm, a tractor trailer ran out of fuel on the hill. This unfortunately added to the mayhem of Ashenfelter being closed.

It's been 1 month since we posted. Sorry, we've been busy making soup and riding fire trucks.

So here we are, 1 month later and another storm is on the move. Currently, we're anticipating upwards of 24 inches starting anytime today through Monday afternoon. With the heaviest volume falling in the overnight hours.

This snow will be wet and heavy. Please take your time shoveling. We've got a few tips below. Please also review our previous tips on space heaters and generator use.

We'll keep you up to date with any significant happenings. Please take care of your neighbors and don't be afraid to ask for help!

It's not too late to book a flight to Florida! 🛩 🌴 🍹

As you're all well aware, the snow is coming. Now is the time to prepare. Run or service your generator, load up on salt/ snow melt, fuel up the cars, charge your batteries or split the wood.

Everyone is saying this will be a long term event (36 to 48 hrs) that could negatively impact roads, power lines and trees.

We've attached some safety tips and good reminders for this winter event. Be safe, look after your neighbors (even if they're jerks) and shovel your closest🧯 hydrant, stay warm. Happy sledding! 🛷

Santa is loading up the sleigh. Be sure to keep an eye on the tracker and come out to meet us at your closest cross street. The tracker will go live as soon as Santa is on the move. Santa will be starting near Pothouse and Kimberton Rd. between8:30-9am
