UPT Police The Upper Providence Township (UPT), Montgomery County, Department of Fire and Emergency Services serves Upper Providence Township (Montgomery County, PA). The Upper Providence Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) serves the Township 24 hours a day, seven days a week with a combination fire department made up of a blend of municipal career firefighters and volunteer firefighters. Two EMS agencies provide emergency medical response in the Township and are supported by a quick response (QRS) service from the DFES.

US 422 OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES 10/26 THROUGH 10/29

PennDOT will continue work 10/26 through 10/29 on a 4.4 mile stretch of US 422 in Limerick and Upper Providence Townships. The bridge repair project will require lane closures in both directions:

EB US 422: Royersford Rd to Troutman Rd
• Lane closure nightly from Sunday, 10/26 through Thursday, 10/29, 7PM–5AM.

WB US 422: Troutman Rd to Royersford Rd
• Lane closure nightly from Sunday, 10/26 through Thursday, 10/29, 8PM–6AM.

Squad 68 (B Platoon) had a great time visiting Collegeville KinderCare in the township on Thursday.

The teams shared important fire safety lessons with students through hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities.

Highlights included:
✅ Fire safety tips for home
✅ The importance of working smoke alarms
✅ Meeting a firefighter in full gear
✅ Exploring equipment and tools on Squad 68

This visit is just one of more than 14 fire prevention events our firefighters participated in throughout the month at local schools and daycare centers, helping teach lifesaving fire safety practices across our community.

QPR (Question • Persuade • Refer) teaches participants how to recognize the signs that someone may be at risk and how to offer support.

This free training provides practical, life‑saving skills — but space is limited.

Squad 68 (C Platoon and A Platoon) along with teams with Trappe Fire Company No. 1's Ladder 77 and Traffic 77 had a great time visiting the Providence Christian Preschool in the Royersford section of the township on Wednesday and Thursday.
