On June 6, 1944, thousands of brave men demonstrated unwavering resolve on the Normandy beaches, driven by an unshakeable conviction that freedom's greatest honor is often borne by its most selfless sacrifices. Their legacy of freedom, forged in the fire of sacrifice, continues to inspire successive generations to stand tall for liberty. As we pay tribute to these heroes, we express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who have served, continue to serve, and protect our nation's freedoms.
