Today, we mark a pivotal moment in history as we commemorate the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, a testament to the transformative power of collective courage and determination. On June 6, 1944, thousands of brave men demonstrated unwavering resolve on the Normandy beaches, driven by an unshakeable conviction that freedom's greatest honor is often borne by its most selfless sacrifices. Their legacy of freedom, forged in the fire of sacrifice, continues to inspire successive generations to stand tall for liberty. As we pay tribute to these heroes, we express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who have served, continue to serve, and protect our nation's freedoms. May their courage empower us to cherish and expand the freedoms we enjoy, and may we remain forever grateful for the sacrifices that have shaped our world. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13 Remembering. Honoring. Grateful. Mayor Isaiah Scipio and family
