is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide fellowship, recreational activities and communal meals to the senior citizens of the Pickens area. The goal is to have seniors be active -- mentally, physically and socially -- in order to better live their lives with quality and dignity. The purpose of the program is to provide affordable meals, fitness activities, entertainment, and educational

programs for seniors. Meals, which are prepared by volunteers, are served at below cost of the requested donation. The Center is staffed by volunteers and is located in the renovated Hagood School, owned by the City of Pickens but leased and renovated by Senior Citizens of Pickens. The Center also has a small lending library and Internet access. There is a nominal annual membership fee and membership is open to anyone in the area over 50. The Center is open MWF from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm.
