The Piedmont Rescue Squad was established in 1965.

In the beginning, all personnel were strictly volunteer and were called at their homes when an emergency occurred. The ambulances were converted station wagons and personnel were trained to a minimum. These individuals provided the best services possible with what they had available. Through the dedication of these selfless volunteers and the support of the community, the Piedmont Rescue Squad has grown to become a top-notch emergency medical services provider.

Please join us in congratulating Steven Tidwell on this incredible milestone of 30 years of dedicated service to his community. It isn't often that people stay in EMS for any length of time, much less at the same company. This year marks three decades at Piedmont Rescue Squad. His dedication and service continues to help shape Piedmont Rescue. Thank you for all you do, and we will see you tomorrow.
