You are welcome to post any comments, questions, concerns or pictures which are school/program related. This is also a good resource for families who often do not have a way to contact the school to excuse their child’s absence or are unable to get them a ride to school. We will receive your post and act on each one accordingly. We will also be posting any upcoming events such as Indian Taco Sales

or Warriors of Light activities. The Indian Education Program strives to meet the academic and culturally related needs of Native American students. The program staff works hard to provide the support necessary to Native American students throughout their educational process in Pierre. One goal our program has is to recognize the academic success of the students. Every year the students are honored for their completion of the eighth grade and graduating high school during a one day Wacipi (Pow wow). The seniors are presented with a star quilt and the eighth grade students are recognized with a certificate and gift. The Indian Education Program is also responsible for the Warriors of Light youth group. Warriors of Light incorporates the Native American culture and promotes academic excellence, healthy living as well as giving back to our community through volunteering. Throughout the school year Warriors of Light does many different activities including crafts, games, Indian taco sales, graduation pow wow and more! We welcome any and all students who would like to attend in grades 6th-12th. Our meetings are every Monday night from 6-8pm in the junior/senior lounge at Riggs High School.

Hey Pierre area relatives! Rosebud's enrollment team is coming to Pierre next Thursday and Friday, April 9 and 10! They will be using our old clinic location at 1714 Abbey Road , off of 4th Street for this event. Please call Rosebud's Enrollment office with any questions!
