• Provide plenty of clean water to prevent dehydration.
• Ensure your pets have a shady place to stay out of the sun.
• Avoid over-exercising them and keep them off hot asphalt.
• Never leave your pets inside a vehicle.
• Keep them indoors during extreme heat.

PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY – ISLAND VIEW DRIVE

The City of Pierre is asking residents to stay out of marked areas along Island View Drive near the American Legion following recent heavy rainfall.

Recent rainfall has created an unsafe surface within the marked areas. City crews are actively working to address the issue.

Thank you for your cooperation as City crews work to address the issue.
