📚✨ Author Spotlight: Ralph Waldo Emerson ✨📚

Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882), often called Waldo, was a leading voice of the Transcendentalist movement in 19th-century America. A philosopher, essayist, poet, and former minister, he inspired generations with his bold ideas about individualism, self-reliance, and critical thinking.

🎓 A Harvard graduate (with a campus hall named in his honor), Emerson challenged readers to think independently and live authentically. He was also an advocate for social change, including abolitionism.

Join us tonight for our FREE Kickoff Event from 4–8 p.m.! We’ll have fun for the whole family, including:

*The Discovery Center with dinosaur themed activities for kids
*The Lions Eye Club offering free eye exams
*A police car from the police department for kids to explore

This is a come-and-go event, so stop by anytime between 4 and 8 p.m. We hope to see you there!
