Please be aware that Public Works is currently flushing fire hydrants around town.

If you notice fluctuations in water pressure, dissolved air in the line, or discolored water, please let your water run until it is clear.

We hope to have the system flush completed by this afternoon.

T. DeWitt Taylor Middle-High School's Homecoming Parade will take place Friday, October 2nd at 12:45PM. High school students will be released at noon.

Please see the attached flyer for the parade route and traffic detour information.

Taylor Middle High School Homecoming Parade. Students will be released at 12:00pm 10/2. Buses will be on campus for students prior to the parade starting.

First Budget Hearing - Wednesday, September 9, 2026 @ 5:01PM.

This hearing will discuss the tentative millage rate, budgets for the General and Water Funds, and the final amount of the Solid Waste Assessment for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.

The second and final Budget Hearing will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 @ 5:01PM to set the final millage rate and budgets for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.

In 2025, a Charter Review Committee comprised of Pierson residents was selected to review the Town Charter and propose changes. These suggested changes will be on the 2026 General Election ballot on November 3, 2026. Pierson voters will be asked if they are in favor of, or opposed to, updating the Town Charter.

The changes proposed this year include clarifying residency requirements to qualify for elected office and the election process, providing for filling of vacancies, creating a forfeiture of office procedure for elected officials who engage in certain prohibited conduct, and to make the Charter consistent with State law and with the Town’s practices and procedures.
