Due to a water main leak near S. County Road 3 and Blackburn Rd on Tuesday afternoon, June 16, 2026, water was temporarily shut off to the seven homes south of Blackburn Rd while the line was being repaired.

Please be advised that the affected addresses will be under a Precautionary Boil Water Notice. See the attached notice for more information.

Updates will be provided on Facebook and the Town's website at www.townofpierson.org as they become available.

πŸ”₯ Prescribed Burn Notice πŸ”₯

Weather conditions are favorable for Volusia County’s Resource Stewardship Division to conduct a 130-acre prescribed fire on June 4, 2026, at the Lake George Forest & WMA in Pierson.

The burn will take place near the intersection of Nine Mile Point Road and Powerline Road. The Blue and Yellow trails will be closed. Ignition is expected to begin at approximately 5 p.m.

Objectives of the burn include maintaining fire-dependent ecosystems and reducing wildland fuel loads.
