One thing most people might not realize about Golphstok?
The ENTIRE STAGE is made out of wood. The structure, the light towers, the light trusses...all made of wood. Handmade (mostly by the Father of Golphstok, the Acoustic Rooster himself), assembled, and torn down all entirely by us. No renting a commercial stage, hiring a crew for lights and sound. It's all done by us. Setting up the speakers, programming the lights, running the sound, all done by us.
It's a large part of what makes this festival what it is.
A handful of us spend countless hours putting this whole thing together to make it the best it can possibly be, for little more than the occasional "thank you for doing this!" (I don't want to understate how much we appreciate hearing that, by the way.)
Golphstok is truly a homegrown festival, and we plan on keeping it that way.
