The City of Pierz is currently seeking a resident to serve on the Park Commission!

Serving on a city board is a great way to:
✅ Make a difference in how Pierz grows and improves
✅ Share your ideas and represent your neighbors
✅ Learn more about city projects and decision-making

This commission meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm. There is a small stipend for being on this commission.

UPDATE: The missing woman was located safely on June 23, 2026, at 7:25 AM.

Pierz Police Department is searching for a missing 64-year-old female who is a resident at Meadow Ponds Assisted Living located in the City of Pierz.

Phyllis Cloud was last seen in area of 3rd Ave NW and Main Street North within the City of Pierz on Monday around 1930 hours. She was riding her red bike while wearing sweatpants, a light-colored jean jacket, while carrying a black purse. Cloud has not returned to the Assisted Living complex and is insulin dependent...

The City of Pierz is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Stangl to the Pierz City Council.

Joe was recently appointed to fill the remainder of a vacant council term and will serve the community through the end of that term. We appreciate his willingness to step forward and serve the residents of Pierz.

The City of Pierz is accepting applications and letters of interest to fill a vacant City Council seat through December 31, 2026.
This is a great opportunity for residents interested in serving the community and gaining experience in local government before deciding whether to run for a future full term.
Interested applicants should submit:
• A completed City Council Appointment Application
• A brief letter of interest
Applications are due to Pierz City Hall by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26.
Applications are available at City Hall. Questions may be directed to City Hall during regular business hours.
