… best/biggest surprise of my life 🥹🤯 our sweet honeybee girl was waiting for us all along. A gift from my angel Mama I’m sure, so I can experience the same love and bond we shared ❣️ If anyone is on the fence about waiting to find out the gender.. I say do it!! It felt like leaning into life’s great mystery, and the surprise waiting at the end of labor helped motivate me during the toughest points 🫶🏼 Full birth story + introducing our sweet girl coming soon 🌿

Joy became simple. Gratitude became fluent. Peace became my every breath 🌸🐄❤️ Learning Lucy’s rhythms and meeting her needs has already taught me so much. She is such a sweet Jersey girl, with heavenly milk that tastes like ice cream. Right now we’re calf sharing, so her girl Poppy has access to her all night and all day, and I milk her in the evening when she has excess to share. She loves it, and comes running to the fence when she hears me coming. We get around 1/2 gallon a day, often less. Once Poppy is a little older, they’ll be together during the day but sleep separated (still right next to eachother) and I’ll begin milking her in the morning.. once that begins we will get around 1-2 gallons a day 🥛🥛🥛 I am so grateful for Lucy, turning our lush pasture into nutrient rich, easily digestible milk. Milk that can be made into butter, sour cream, cream cheese, cottage cheese, mozzarella, yogurt, and more! What a gift

I laid last night in the bathtub we scored on Facebook marketplace (the one my hubby had to go back to the store an hour away four times for, since the brass hardware was ancient and ohh so frustrating.) I melted into the hot water and looked out the window over this beautiful land we’ve explored for the last year, dreaming exactly of this day. I couldn’t help but smile, feeling the giddy balm of gratitude coat me from head to toe. I remember rubbing my pregnant belly, trying my best to be patient as I gazed through the framed hole in the wall. I remember crying as I let go of the idea of having our birth here in this tub, because the house just wasn’t ready in time. Not so long ago I was on hands and knees installing the grout under these bathroom tiles when my water broke. I guess what I’m trying to say is .. I hyped up living in this home and taking a bath just like this SO much in my mind for months and months and months. I built it up to be the most glorious thing, and I have to say.. it’s so much more beautiful than I ever dared to imagine. Even with the hiccups, the timing, the delays, the waiting. It’s perfect. This home is a carefully built daily reminder of why I don’t need to know when or even how things will work out - all I need to do is trust that they will. Hold the vision of beauty, and trust in it with all I’ve got ❤️

A few ways I’ve been nourishing my body during my first pregnancy 🌿🥕 Our bodies are brilliantly designed to create these little ones in our womb - I firmly believe we are also brilliantly designed to intuitively know what’s best for us to eat during pregnancy, too. Some pregnancy books and online sources make this whole process sound daunting and scary, of course you want to do what’s best for your baby. But that’s the thing, *you already KNOW, Mama* We’ve always known. Awakening the “Mother” archetype is awakening the one within us who listens fiercely to her intuition. Her gut instinct. Her inner knowing. Not always easy in today’s modern society, but so so vital nonetheless. I was in awe of how coffee, chocolate and sweets naturally sounded disgusting first trimester. How fried food made me queasy, and how I craved specific fruits and veggies during the time that my app would tell me to get more of Vitamin ___ (that happened to be in those fruits I was craving!) My biggest asset is my health, if I have wellness, and health (meaning: whole) I am RICH! I am free to live life fully. Here are some simple ways I prioritize my health: 🌸 Homecooked meals made with whole, real foods 🌸 No seed oils - cooking with butter, olive oil, coconut oil or lard 🌸 Getting plenty of healthy fats - cheese, raw milk, avocado 🌸 Prioritizing protein - local grass fed meat + pasture raised eggs (make sure their feed is non gmo!) 🌸 Getting enough minerals - supplementing by adding shilajit into my morning drink, drinking LMNT, or adding mineralized salt to my drinking water 🌸 ENJOYING what I eat, blessing every part of the meal with gratitude before it goes into my body (as well as baby’s) There’s so much more I could say about my health journey - from being raised vegetarian & never feeling strong, to going vegan and becoming extremely unhealthy on the inside: thyroid issues, severe hormone imbalance, depression, fatigue, gut biome imbalance, debilitating, irregular periods to…Waking up with energy, easy- breezy, beautiful 3 day flows with the full moon, stable moods, eating nearly anything without indigestion, and conceiving our little one on the first try 🌟

Living my hearts dream these days .. enjoying the first sourdough loaf in our home that my Husband built, cuddling my angel girl. I am in awe at how miraculous life feels right now. It was no coincidence that the house build took nearly the same amount of time as it did for little Bee to be perfectly grown in my womb 🐝 We’ve had a difficult last year.. but as the wheel turns, the seasons change, and so do we. I feel in my bones a sense of joy and excitement sprouting as Spring approaches. Everything in perfect timing, my friends 🌸🌼🌷🌻

This lifestyle is challenging, but in a good way. In a soul enriching, body strengthening, faith confirming way. In the silence of the valley and the deep breath between moments, I’m discovering a level of inner peace I haven’t felt since a was on a silent retreat for two weeks 💚 I had a check up call with my naturopath and she confirmed what I’ve been feeling, my system is balancing and I’m healthier then ever. With my hands in the soil and face to the sun each day, my body, mind and spirit are overjoyed 🌟 Farm updates: 🌿 Our barn windows were delivered!! Almost time to raise the barn 🌿 Sage’s younger brother Sawyer is in town helping with projects, it is so sweet to see them working on the land together, like they’ve done since they were children. (They know so much!! It’s so impressive) 🌿 My little seedlings are popping up in the raised beds, sugar snap peas, carrots, butter lettuce, kale.. 🌿 We planted red clover and wild flowers on the berm we dug up so the soil wasn’t exposed, and it’s started to sprout! 🌿 Clearing the debris from our little fairy stream by hand is my favorite task. Gently pulling out the weeds and admiring the worms is such a meditative experience! Thanks for tuning into this adventure 🌸🦋 With Love, Rohini

We’ve been here nearly a month and so much has been done already! 🙏🏻🌷 Planting the first seeds into our garden fills me with so much joy - seeing our hard work pay off when our berm and swale protected the terraced garden from sliding with the heavy rains we’ve been having 🌧️ Digging my bare hands in the soil as the sun gently sets, Sage working with the tractor down the hill. Happiness is overflowing (just like the ponds!) 🌊 My body aches and my shoulders have doubled in size, but the shoveling/digging seems to be getting easier. Our neighbors could not be more kind - they have welcomed us and took us under their wings. We’re the only young farmers in the area, and they have expressed their excitement and gratitude that we’re continuing on the tradition of cultivating the land that their families have done for generations 👩🏼‍🌾🫶🏼 it feels like such an honor to be welcomed into this close knit community. They deeply love God, their families, and the land - and I respect and love that so very much. Tonight we have Sage’s younger brother who is studying permaculture coming to visit us - our first guest!! Can’t wait to share this beautiful piece of Earth with our family 🌎❤️ Wishing you all a joy filled weekend! 🌟 Love, Ro 🦋

Welcoming our Jersey girls: Lucy and her sweet calf Poppy 🐮❤️ This is such a hugeeee milestone for us, and is helping us get one step closer to our goal of living off our land 🌾 Raw milk, cottage cheese, and yogurt were my staples during pregnancy and still are now that I’m breastfeeding Alinah! Such a nutritious, delicious, wonderful staple in my diet and oh how sweet it will be to produce all of our dairy goods here at home🌟🌷🙏🏻 Thank you to my hubby for always going along with my crazy schemes - like having 2 cows delivered the morning after we get home from vacation 😅 I’m already so humbled by this process: queue the fence line snapping and us chasing the girls all around the land while I’m holding Alinah 😂 I have so much to learn still, and I can’t wait!!

Easy, beginner friendly one pot beef roast 🥩🥕🥔 I make this at least once a week - it’s become my go-to when we have guests over for dinner because it’s simple, yet tastes fancy! It’s a great meal for beginner cooks since you just throw everything in and forget about it in the oven for around 3 hours. Sometimes it goes longer, sometimes shorter.. it’s forgiving, and only gets yummier with time (it’s eeeven tastier as leftovers for lunch the next day) Food is my love language, and I would love to share this recipe with you - comment “crowd pleaser” and I’ll DM it to you ❤️
