Join us at the library on Monday, June 1st from 11 AM - 1 PM for fun, foam, and dinosaurs! 🦖

Ages 6-15 are invited, and children ages 6 and under must be accompanied at all times by a guardian.

Whittler Dave started hand carving at the age of 7 and is an old-school traditionalist carver making everything by hand. Using knives, chisels, axes and other wood carving tools he carves a wide variety of items including animals, characters, toys, folk art & furniture. Watch as Dave demonstrates Appalachian spoon carving and explains the difference in carving and whittling.

Next week's program is titled "Miller at the Old Mill," presented by Chuck Childers from The Old Mill
Chuck's program "The Daily Grind" will discuss the day-to-day operation and history of the Mill. We'll also be serving a taste of our favorite Old Mill offering...cornbread...fried up by local legend Don Huskey.

Our Forging America series continues tonight at 6 PM.

Early cabin construction presented by Ben Barrington
Learn about log cabin construction methods and history. Ben is a retired Tennessee state employee who documented Tennessee's historic buildings and their construction. He has restored some of the oldest log and early framed structures in the state. After retirement, he continued his research and work restoring cabins.
