Had a great time volunteering at the The Salvation Army Family Store in Portsmouth today. I just want to say thank you to the amazing staff for all the hard work, kindness, and dedication you show every day. Your efforts truly make a difference in the community, and it was an honor to spend time helping alongside such caring people. ❤️

Had such a great time volunteering at Horizon Apartments in Portsmouth today! We spent the afternoon playing bingo, sharing laughs, and enjoying time with some amazing friends. It’s always rewarding to see how something as simple as a few games and conversations can brighten everyone’s day — including ours. ❤️🎉
Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a fun afternoon. Looking forward to the next visit!

A huge thank you to Miss Northwest 2026👑💙
We are so grateful for Gracie and her heart for helping her community!

She is helping make a difference by hosting a clothing drive to support individuals and families in need through our Hands of Abilities Free Store.

It takes a special kind of leader to use their platform to serve others, and Gracie is doing exactly that.
Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to give back are such a beautiful example of what community is all about.

We are also excited to cheer her on as she represents Miss Northwest in the Riverdays Parade later this year! 🌊🎉

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: DJ 🌟
We are proud to shine this week’s Volunteer Spotlight on DJ! DJ has a big heart for helping others and enjoys being surrounded by good people in the community.
DJ volunteers with our Hands of Abilities Free Store, the Salvation Army Family Store, and Rarden Daily Bread. He also participates in a self-advocacy group with his SSA, Lakiem, and volunteers in other places throughout the community as well.
When he’s not volunteering, DJ enjoys playing basketball, taking walks, shopping, going to the park, and listening to music.
Thank you, DJ, for your kindness, dedication, and positive spirit. Your willingness to help others makes a difference in so many lives! 💙👏

Sweet treats and big adventures! 🍦☀️ the folks had a blast making homemade ice cream, cooling off with popsicles, and heading out to explore! There’s nothing better than good friends, sweet snacks, and making fun memories together. 💙
