Our guys and Gulnaire Fire Department had a good day of training. Drivers training to maintain and improve our maneuvering skills. Staying proficient and training the new members on the limits of our equipment is one of the most important skills in our bag of tricks. We can’t help if we can’t get the trucks there!

Thanks to everyone that came out and participated today. Thank you to the instructors who gave up their Saturday to make sure we have the knowledge we need to be proficient.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued to our area. It is advised to not burn during a red flag warning as well as following all fire season laws and regulations. The weather service has issued the warning due to low humidity and high temps, as well as winds that will push fires. Any fire that begins wills likely spread rapidly. Be safe and use good judgement today!

An Emergency Burn ban has been issued for all of Pike County until further notice.
