Members from Pikeville Fire Department recently attended the 93rd Annual Tennessee Firemen's Association Annual Convention. Included are a few shots from the convention.

Retired Chief Paul Swafford was recognized by the association with the Lewis Baker Award. The Lewis Baker Award recognizes an individual who has selflessly devoted themselves to the betterment of the fire service in Tennessee or who has made a lasting and significant impact on the profession statewide. Paul was nominated by Pikeville FD and was selected by a TFA committee.

2nd VP Warren Todd was surprised with a cake as he turned another year younger while at the conference.

September 11, 2026 - Members from several local emergency services agencies and community members joined together to walk in memory of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. The walk also remembers those who have perished due to long-term health complications from the work performed at the site.

Thanks to all those who participated. The department looks to host this event again next year.

Our department mourns the passing of longtime neighboring Chief Dennis “Big D” Frazier of the Mt. Crest Volunteer Fire Department. He led Mt. Crest from its founding, serving as Chief for more than 45 years. Big D helped shape the foundation that made county fire departments possible throughout Bledsoe County. He never met a stranger and was a positive influence on everyone he encountered. His impact on the fire service and our community will be felt for generations. He will be greatly missed by our department.
