Mayor Chad Major

Mayor Chad Major With deep gratitude and a clear vision, I’m honored to serve as your Mayor. Together, we’ll protect our values, and plan for a thriving future.

I’m committed to preserving what makes Pilot Point special while leading us toward meaningful progress. My wife and I retired in Pilot Point primarily due to the small-town charm, and its proximity to the country, lake, and horses. We were struck by the rich history and foundation of the strong values for which Pilot Point is known. I hope to preserve that history, particularly in the historic dow

ntown area. I believe that our people have so much more to add to the story of Pilot Point and it is the people that are the best part of this town! There is a strong community feel here that is immediately evident and the preservation of it is vital to the future. The people that we have already known, or since met, many of whom have provided friendship, fun and history to this unique town are the glue. I would like to believe that Pilot Point would say it wants to “stay unique”, even with the growth that is coming.

Congratulations Katie Blust!! We are very glad you are on our team!

CONGRATS to a member of our Community Services team on her recent certification 👏

Assistant Director Katie Blust recently completed her certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners. This verification showcases her pledge to uphold high standards of city planning practices, ethics and professional conduct. To complete this certification, she had to have a certain combination of education and professional experience and complete an exam with the American Planning Association. Katie joined our team earlier this year after serving as Community Services Manager for the City of Coppell. Congrats Katie!

Hey Pilot Point, please be aware of the Mosquito Fogging that will be taking place.
08/12/2026

Hey Pilot Point, please be aware of the Mosquito Fogging that will be taking place.

The City of Pilot Point will be conducting truck-based low volume fogging in areas of the city from 9:00p-5:00a the evenings of August 12-13, wind and weather permitting, due to a mosquito sample that tested positive for West Nile Virus.

What do you need to know?
The product in use is designed to kill insects the size of a mosquito or smaller. It is considered reasonably safe for human and pet exposure, and has been selected due to its quick action and lack of environmental footprint.
‣ Concerned pet owners can bring pets inside during this time
‣ Empty outside water dishes and replenish with fresh water following the procedure in the AM
‣ Cover fish tanks located near a roadway
‣ This will not affect your A/C system
‣ If you drive behind the fogging truck, keep windows rolled up and pass the truck promptly with A/C on recirculate

See below for the map of the areas that will be treated. The fogging dates are subject to change.
