Way to go guys working together with local hospitals to get best outcome for patients! Excellent team work by all!

GREAT WORK: We honored Pinckneyville Community Hospital with our traveling STEMI trophy!

There are 11 hospitals participating in our STAT Heart network--PCH is 33 miles from Carbondale and the furthest site to receive this award.

This success would not be possible without the rapid response and collaboration of Pinckneyville Ambulance Services. With a total door-to-reperfusion time of 87 minutes, the team not only surpassed the national benchmark of 120 minutes but also met SIH’s ambitious goal of under 90 minutes.

Congratulations to PCH and PAS, as well as Kaci Prest, the primary receiving nurse, who was recognized with a Heart Pin for her outstanding care.

Don’t forget to mark the date this Friday April 10 Blood Drive at Pinckneyville Hospital with ARCH Air Medical Service ARCH 4 out of Sparta they provide a great service to our rural communities and they also carry blood for those emergencies that require it!

ARCH 4 is teaming up with Pinckneyville Community Hospital to host a community blood drive, and we need your help!

This drive is part of a regional competition between bases from Air Methods to see which base can collect the most donations. More importantly, the blood collected helps save lives throughout our region.

ARCH crews carry blood on their helicopters for every transport, allowing them to begin treating patients suffering from severe blood loss before they reach the hospital.

This week, our AHEC Career Exploration students had the incredible opportunity to visit Pinckneyville Ambulance and learn firsthand about careers in the EMS field. 🚑

Paramedic Heather Fred (pictured) and EMT Bobby Snyder shared what it takes to pursue a career in emergency medical services, what their day-to-day responsibilities look like, and the dedication it requires to serve our community. Students even got to step inside the ambulance, explore the equipment, and tour the base where EMS staff work—often covering 12- and 24-hour shifts to ensure our community is always protected.

We are so grateful for our local EMS team and the vital role they play in caring for people during some of life’s most critical moments. Thank you for taking the time to inspire and educate the next generation of healthcare professionals!
