The Mayor and Borough Council of Pine Beach were proud to recognize extraordinary bravery at last night's Council Meeting.

On May 5, 2026, three courageous young men, Pine Beach Resident Danny Maresca, Jakob Bodtmann, and Noel Acevedo, demonstrated remarkable quick thinking and selflessness when they helped a family safely escape from a house fire. Their decisive actions in a dangerous situation made a life-saving difference.

In honor of their heroism, the Mayor and Council presented each of them with a proclamation recognizing their bravery, community spirit, and willingness to put others before themselves. Their actions are a powerful reminder of the strength and compassion within our Pine Beach community.

Please join us in congratulating Danny, Jakob, and Noel for their outstanding courage and for serving as an inspiration to us all.

As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, Pine Beach is proud to recognize our 2026 Collective Grand Marshals for the annual 4th of July Parade - The Founding Families of Pine Beach! ❤️🤍💙

These families helped shape the heart and history of our community through generations of dedication, tradition, and hometown pride. Their stories are woven into the fabric of Pine Beach and continue to inspire the spirit of our Borough today.

📖 Participating families are also encouraged to share memories, stories, and family histories to be included in a special commemorative collection honoring Pine Beach’s rich heritage during this historic anniversary year. 🇺🇸Last week, the Mayor and Council had the honor of welcoming Jersey Shore Quilts of Valor to a Council work meeting for a special award ceremony. During the presentation, members of the organization shared their mission—to provide comforting, handmade Quilts of Valor to service members and veterans affected by war. These meaningful quilts are crafted by dedicated volunteers who generously give their time to support and honor those who have served our country.
We are especially proud to recognize our own Sergeant and Councilman, Ray Newman, who was honored for his military service with a beautifully handcrafted Quilt of Valor. Also recognized were two Toms River Township Government, New Jersey veterans, SPC James Raab and SPC Stephen DiPaula.
To all our veterans, thank you for your service and sacrifice. And to Jersey Shore Quilts of Valor, thank you for reminding us of the incredible impact of community, gratitude, and compassion.
