The strong winds have triggered the fire alarms at Carpenter Elementary School. The fire department has cleared the building and all students & staff are safely inside. School will be dismissed at the normal time. The phones at CES are also down. Any calls for the building can be directed to the District office.

The LCSD #2 Board of Trustees will be selecting a new school board member for appointment, to serve until the next election in 2026.

Board Trustees are elected community members who volunteer their time for the benefit of our school district and the students who attend our schools. In partnership with parents and community, they will provide a safe environment where students' essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes will ensure success in their changing world.

A short time ago fire alarms were activated at PBHS. All students & staff are safe & have been evacuated. The fire department is on scene. Please refrain from calling the buildings at this time. Students are being held at PBES & will be detained until it is determined that transportation is safe to mobilize.

Due to current and predicted weather conditions, LCSD2 will be operating on a 2 hour delay tomorrow. Bus stop pick-up times will be 2 hours later than the normal schedule. Some bus routes may encounter additional challenges even with the 2 hour delay. If your students’ bus route is affected you will receive an additional notification from transportation in the morning.

Schools will open and begin 2 hours later and operate on an abbreviated schedule in order to dismiss at their regular times.

There is a chance, after evaluating the conditions in the morning, that we will move to a remote learning day and cancel the late start. If that happens, you will receive an additional notification in the morning.

Due to inclement weather, tonight’s special Board session has been postponed to tomorrow, February 19th, at 7:00 PM.

A Special Session of the Board of Trustees will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, starting at 7:00 at the District Office. The board will hold an executive session pursuant to W.S. 16-4-405(a)(ii) and the board will take action on personnel recommendations.
