🎓 Graduation Season Reminder: Know the Law 🎓

As we celebrate graduation season and the accomplishments of our local students, the Crawford Police Department would like to remind parents, guardians, and residents about Orange County’s Social Host Law.

Working alongside our partners at the Orange County STOP DWI & Traffic Safety Program, we remain committed to educating our community about the dangers of underage drinking and impaired driving.

Since 2016, it has been illegal for a homeowner or any host 18 years of age or older to knowingly allow underage drinking at their home, gathering, or party, or to fail to take action to stop it once they become aware of it.

Penalties include:
▪️ First Offense: $500 fine, completion of an alcohol awareness program, and/or up to 30 hours of community service.
▪️ Second Offense: Unclassified misdemeanor punishable by a $1,000 fine, up to one year in jail, or both.

Graduation should be a time of celebration, achievement, and making memories that last a lifetime. We encourage parents and guardians to know the law, supervise gatherings responsibly, and help ensure our graduates arrive safely at their celebrations—and home again.

Together, we can keep our roads safe and make this graduation season a successful one for everyone.

As we roll into graduation season, a reminder that this Friday night is the Pine Bush High School Class of 2026 Commencement Ceremony. 🎓

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at **6:00 PM sharp**. Traffic in the **Route 302 area** is expected to be heavy, and residents are encouraged to avoid the area if possible during peak times.

Happy Sunday, Crawford!

It was another awesome and busy weekend for your Crawford Police Department.

On Friday evening, Officers Swayne and Shannon attended the Pine Bush High School Senior Ball, helping ensure a safe and memorable night for our students.

On Saturday afternoon, we had the honor of escorting our incredible Pine Bush Varsity Softball Team home following an outstanding run in the New York State Softball Tournament. We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes, coaches, and families for representing our community with pride.

Saturday evening, members of Crawford PD were honored to provide a security detail for ArchBishop Ronald Hicks during his visit to Infant Savior Church.

We are proud to serve this community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

A couple of friendly reminders:

🥎💙 GOOD LUCK, PINE BUSH! 💙🥎

The Crawford Police Department and the Town of Crawford wish the Pine Bush High School Varsity Softball Team the very best as they travel to Binghamton to compete in the Class AAA State Final Four Tournament!

The Lady Bushmen will take on Massapequa tomorrow with a chance to continue their incredible championship run.

We would also like to thank our law enforcement partners at the New York State Police and our emergency services partners from the Pine Bush Fire Department, Bullville Fire Department, and Pine Bush Ambulance Corps for assisting with this morning’s team send-off.
