Pine Island Fire Department

Pine Island Fire Department The Pine Island Fire Department strives to provide the best emergency service, fire and medical, to residents in our jurisdiction.

Founded by individuals from rural townships, the Pine Island Fire Department started in a section of City Hall. Once the department moved to its current location, plans were made to grow the department. Ever since its inception, the department has been a leader in advancing techniques and technology; utilizing the latest equipment for medical service and fire suppression. PIFD was one of the first

departments to use the AED on their medical apparatus, to train and use extrication equipment (Jaws of Life) at car accidents and implement air monitoring equipment for gas and CO2 calls. The leadership at PIFD encourages members to pursue continuing education, attend available training and maintain yearly credits for fire and medical certifications. If the public has any questions regarding fire department procedures, practices and policy, the Pine Island Fire Department is always ready to answer questions and provide information to help further knowledge!
