Congratulations to Kenton Murphy from the Big South Fork Aerospace Academy and the McCreary Central High School KY-TSA team for winning the state aviation competition. Ky Technology Student Association sponsors different tech competitions statewide every year. Kenton earn 2nd place in 2025 and 1st Place in 2026.

Many thanks to Textron - McCauley for their propeller sponsorship! This propeller will be installed on the first T-41 made for the US Air Force. It is painted with similar design as the original T-41.

Kenton, Daniel, and Andy( one of the dads) working to strip the Civil Air Patrol paint off the T-41. Rudder and front fuselage was the goal. You can see the original black paint from the US Air Force after stripping first layer of paint. This part of the fuselage and the top cowling were painted black. Happy to see the extent/measurements of where the black paint was located.

Students working to remove tail feathers on the T-41. The primary/immediate goal is to prep the aircraft for new paint in US Air Force colors. You can see the current colors of the Indiana Wing of the Civil Air Patrol.
