Happy EMS Week to our members who not only hold their KY Fire Commission certifications but also hold EMS certifications.

Firefighter/NREMT Sampson Strunk - A member since 2025, an NREMT since 2007, also has his license as a Registered Nurse and has his BSN.

LT/NREMT Trysten Adkins - A member since 2023, obtained his NREMT this year.

Captain/NREMT Justin Cox - A member since 2013, obtained his NREMT last year.

LT/Paramedic Zachery Starrett - A member since 2020, initially obtaining his NREMT in 2019 and Paramedic in 2024, also holds a critical care certification and EMS Educator endorsement.

Although the department does not run “medical calls” with EMS, we are dedicated to provide top notch care in any situation we are called to.

🚨🚨Missing juvenile in the Pine Knot area has been located safe. We have had several citizens come by checking and wanted to make the public aware. 🚨🚨

For every scanner sold during the month of May from Brush-Q Upfitting, we will sponsor one child for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library at the McCreary County Public Library.

Scanners are $150, programmed with McCreary Emergency Services (EMS, Sheriffs Office, and all 5 Fire depts) or Scott County TN Emergency Services. Can be programmed for both for $160. All scanners come with 7 NOAA weather stations. Contact Jordan Perry, Cody Pryor, or Josh Grant to place your order.

Large Animal Rescue class coming to Pine Knot Fire Department May 17th!

Large Animal Rescue Class coming to Pine Knot FD.

This is hands on training focused on real incidents involving livestock and large animals. You will cover animal behavior, ICS for these incidents, containment, and movement techniques that actually work in the field.

Full burn ban is recalled. Please be mindful of the weather; the normal forest service burn ban is still in place. So, only burn after 6 p.m. and only burn approved items. No trash, garbage, or tires. Yard debris and other paper and wood are acceptable.
