PSA!! PINE RIDGE VILLAGE COMMUNITY

We want to bring to your attention a concerning trend that has been occurring in our community recently. Over the past several nights this week between the hours of midnight, and 06:00am, there have been atleast 8+ reports of individuals going around and targeting vehicles, resulting in car break ins and thefts. The individuals are unknown at this time.

The perps are typically breaking car windows and checking for unlocked vehicle doors to gain access.

REMINDER!!

Lock your vehicle doors, remove any valuable items you have in them. If you notice any suspicious individuals or activity in your neighborhood, please report them to Law Enforcement immediately.

On January 31st, 2024 OSTDPS K-9 unit hosted a School presentation at the Pine Ridge High School.

K-9 Handlers and Supervisor met with Pine Ridge High School’s Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior and Senior classes.

Each Handler got to show and present their K-9 partners an explain what each of their purpose is.

Officers informed each class of the dangers of illegal Narcotics, how to identify signs of individuals under the infulence and the different types of drugs that have been located within our homelands.

K-9 Unit will be working with all schools reservation wide to help keep our children safe and informed of illegal narcotics and firearm safety.

Good Job Handlers keep up the good work an stay safe!

K9s Ryker and Linka getting some scent detection in during the night. Both K9s are trained in detecting 3 illegal substances which are methamphetamine, co***ne, and he**in.
