Pine Ridge Cemetery Cleanup
Within the next few days volunteers will be picking up anything around gravesites that is an obstacle or hazard to mowing and trimming. Also many items were blown around in the recent storms and have been picked up.
Remember that glass, stones, breakable items are prohibited due to safety concerns and make it difficult to keep the area clean and attractive.

As you are probably aware, much much needed restoration is being done at the cemetery this spring. Please bear with us as dirt is being leveled, grass planted and overall cleanup is in progress.
For everyone's benefit, please review the information in the photo of the brochure seen here. To help with safety, mowing, etc. please respect these guidelines. Thank you so much to those that have helped make this restoration happen and bring the cemetery back to a beautiful setting for our loved ones.

Another awesome work day at Pine Ridge Cemetery. They shoveled, raked and moved mountains! Denny Houg, Bev and Henry Kramp, Bill and Jacquie Rohr and Gary Siltman. When you next visit the cemetery you will see the difference. Much more dirt to move yet and it will be an ongoing project all spring for sure. Thank you all for your help!

What a totally awesome group of students helping at the cemetery this morning! They cleaned headstones, raked and picked up branches. Thank you to all who participated.

Pine River Journal July 18, 1941. Note that Nora Kline was a very prominent individual regarding the cemetery upkeep and improvement for many years. It also should be noted that she was Gertrude (Sis) Risnes's grandmother. Sis carried on her dedication to making the cemetery a beautiful place and was on the cemetery board for many years. We would like to thank the Risnes family for following her wishes as they recently deposited $1,016 in the Pine Ridge Cemetery account from memorial gifts at the time of Sis's death.
