🚒 COMMUNITY SUPPORT REQUEST 🚒
The Pine Village Community Volunteer Fire Department is currently pursuing grant funding for a much-needed station expansion project.
As our community continues to grow and emergency service demands increase, our current facility no longer adequately supports the equipment and resources needed to protect our residents and neighboring communities.
Why is an expansion needed?
✅ Emergency vehicles and equipment are currently stored outside due to a lack of space.
✅ Specialized apparatus, including our Mobile Command Center and Wildland/Snow Rescue Unit, are exposed to the elements year-round.
✅ Limited storage increases wear and tear on expensive emergency response equipment and can impact readiness during severe weather.
✅ Current bay dimensions restrict our ability to replace aging apparatus with modern emergency vehicles that meet today's safety and operational standards.
✅ Equipment stored at multiple locations can increase response times during emergencies.
✅ The department continues to utilize an aging secondary station with structural concerns and limited storage capacity.
This project will help ensure that emergency response resources remain protected, reliable, and available when our community needs them most.
We are asking residents, community members, businesses, and partner agencies to provide letters of support for this project.
If possible, please share any positive experiences you have had with the Pine Village Community Volunteer Fire Department, whether through emergency response, public service, community events, fire prevention programs, training opportunities, or other interactions. Personal stories and firsthand accounts help demonstrate the impact our department has on the community and can strengthen our grant application.
Example Letter of Support:
"I support the Pine Village Community Volunteer Fire Department's efforts to expand its fire station facilities. The department provides critical fire, rescue, EMS, and emergency management services to our community and surrounding areas. Expanding the station will improve equipment protection, operational readiness, firefighter safety, and emergency response capabilities for years to come.
