📢 Lancer Families…Our Teachers Need Us Now! 📢

Here’s what you need to know about School Board Referendum #268:

🗓️ The original referendum was passed in 2018, and since then, it has helped to increase and maintain teacher salaries and to allow for increased police security at all schools across the county.  

💲 This year’s Referendum 268 simply MAINTAINS THIS FUNDING.  It does not give anyone a raise nor does it increase current taxes.

🗳️ Referendum 268 is the LAST of the referendums listed on the ballot.  Make sure you don’t miss it!

🧑‍🏫 The “T” in PTSA needs us now more than ever.  Let’s show up for them just like they do for our students each and every day!

✅ Early Voting is open now.  Election Day is November 3rd.  VOTE YES ON #268!

🍩 What happens when birthdays meet breakfast? Magic.🪄

Is your child celebrating a birthday? 🎂 Don’t you, forget about... them! Give your student their own Breakfast Club moment with a special birthday treat delivered to homeroom during their birthday week! $5 per treat, limit 2 per child. We are celebrating August–October birthdays now.

No detention required (that’s for you, 80s fans!)...Just donuts. 🍩

Singers, guitarists, bassists, drummers, rappers, and other musicians: We’re getting the band back together!

Want to play music you love, jam with other musicians, and perform live? Come find out what Palmetto Middle’s new Rock Band is all about.

No auditions required for the interest meeting.

Important to Note: Rock Band is more like band practice, not music lessons. Students must already be able to sing or play their instruments independently and be ready to rehearse as a group.

🀄️ *Palmetto Middle School Mahjong Club* 🀄️

We’re excited to introduce our new Mahjong Club! Whether you’ve never touched a mahjong tile or you’re ready to sharpen your skills, this club is a chance to learn a new game, make new friends, play with old ones, and enjoy a little friendly competition.

Mahjong is a game of strategy, memory, patience, and a little bit of luck! Students will learn the basics, practice their skills, and discover the fun of playing together in a relaxed, social setting. No experience necessary, Lancers - just bring your curiosity, a willingness to learn, and your poker…err, MAHJ face!

Our first Campus Clean-up is this Friday after school!! Meet outside the auditorium at 4pm!

Students who participate will receive 2 volunteer hours for just 1 hour of service! 🙌

👨‍👩‍👧 Bring a parent and earn an additional volunteer hour!

It’s a great opportunity to give back, earn volunteer hours, and help keep our school beautiful! Hope to see you on Friday!!🗑️♻️💙🧡
