FALL YOUTH SPORTS REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Looking for a fun way to keep your child active this fall? Sign up for one of our exciting youth sports programs at Cannon Park! Registration is now open for:

⚾ NEW! Fall T-Ball (Ages 4-6)
A great introduction to baseball fundamentals with a focus on FUN, learning, and participation.

⚾ Fall Coach Pitch Baseball (Ages 6-8)
Co-sponsored with the Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills, this league emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and a pressure-free environment where everyone plays!

🏐 Youth Volleyball (Ages 8-16, 3 age divisions: 8-10, 11-13, & 14-16)
Learn the fundamentals of volleyball while building confidence, making friends, and having fun.

🏈 Youth Flag Football (Ages 9-12, 2 age divisions: 9-10 & 11-12)
Enjoy the excitement of football in a safe, non-contact format using NFL Flag Football rules.

💲 Cost:
• Residents: $30
• Non-Residents: $60

📅 Registration Deadlines:
• T-Ball, Coach Pitch Baseball & Volleyball: August 17 at 5:00 PM
• Flag Football: August 18 at 5:00 PM

📍 All programs are held at Cannon Park and begin in early September.

Water Main Break on Brookhaven Road

Moore County Utilities is currently responding to a water main break on Brookhaven Road in the No. 7 neighborhood.

To complete repairs, water service has been temporarily shut off in the immediate area. Utility crews have also had to cut into the roadway to access the damaged line.

At this time, there is no estimated timeframe for completion of repairs. We will share updates as they become available.

Please use caution if traveling in the area and follow any posted traffic control measures.

Residents with questions regarding water service may contact Moore County Public Utilities at (910) 947-6315.

As summer activity picks up across Pinehurst, we're seeing an increase in minor traffic crashes, particularly near the Traffic Circle, Midland Road/Airport Road, and the NC 211/Page Road area.

Whether you're heading to work, running errands, enjoying a round of golf, or welcoming family and friends to town, a little extra patience and attention can go a long way.

Please remember:
• Put the phone away while driving.
• Allow extra following distance.
• Watch for pedestrians, cyclists, and golf carts.
• Use turn signals and yield appropriately.
• Expect heavier traffic during peak travel times.

The Pinehurst Police Department is committed to keeping our roads safe, but roadway safety is a shared responsibility.

🏀 Fitz N Fit Fitness Summer Basketball Camp
📅 August 3–7
⏰ 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
📍 Cannon Park Community Center
Develop basketball fundamentals, sharpen skills through station work, learn the game through film sessions, enjoy live gameplay, and hear from special guest speakers.

⚾ Pinecrest Youth Baseball Camp
📅 June 15–18
⏰ 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
📍 Pinecrest High School
Ages 5–12 | $105 per camper
Led by Pinecrest High School Head Baseball Coach Jeff Hewitt, this instructional camp focuses on skill development, teamwork, and having fun on the diamond.

👦 Ages 8–16 | $95 admission
Learn golf fundamentals, course etiquette, and beginner skills in a welcoming environment designed to build confidence and a love for the game.

🏀Come out to compete and have fun in Pinehurst Parks & Recreation's 3v3 basketball tournament for boys and girls ages 11-12 and 13-15. Age cutoff date of January 1, 2026. Players will have the option of selecting to play in the co-ed or non-coed division, or both. Players can indicate a teammate preference at registration, but it is not required. If you do not have a teammate preference, no worries they will be assigned to a team! Players will play half-court at one goal.

Event Dates: June 23, 24, and 25

Event Time: 5:30pm - 8:30pm (each date)

Location: Cannon Park Community Center
