📣 Tampa Bay Residents, from Citrus to Sarasota County, we want to hear from YOU! 📣

Flooding impacts many areas across our region. We are asking community members to share their real-life experiences through a regional flood survey.

Your feedback will help the us and the lead team for the Tampa Bay Coastal Master Plan (TBCMP) better understand chronic flooding and where it’s happening across Tampa Bay 🌧️

Your responses will also be used to develop community-drawn flood maps and help prioritize nature-based projects that reduce flood risk, such as living shorelines, wetlands, and other resilient solutions.

County Administrator Steve Howard spoke on the County Administrator’s Panel at the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council's Resiliency Summit today. Leaders from various counties came together to discuss ongoing resilience efforts, projects, and programs throughout the region.

Our partners at Save Crystal River were present to discuss springs restoration and seagrass protection initiatives.

“It was an honor to be selected to speak on the County Administrator’s panel for TBRPC’s 2026 Resiliency Summit. I thank them for hosting such an informative event, and I applaud the work of organizations like Save Crystal River, which are dedicated to saving our waters,” said Steve Howard.

📍Next stop on our Roadmap to Adaptation: Implementation! 😎

We invite City and County staff - anyone applying for Resilient Florida funding to complete an adaptation project in the upcoming cycle - to our second Roadmap to Adaptation workshop.

Participants can explore best practices to achieve high-scoring adaptation project applications. Staff with responsibilities including planning, resilience and sustainability, grant administration, public works, parks and recreation, and floodplain management would find this workshop beneficial 🙂‍↕️

It was an honor to gain insight from and recognize the people driving innovation, sustainability, and resiliency across our six-county region. That’s a wrap on our speaker and panel segments of the 6th Regional Resiliency Summit! 🌊 Our closing speaker, Florida Housing Coalition CEO Ashon Nesbitt, left us with a powerful final message: Investing in resilient housing creates long-term affordability by reducing repair costs, lowering utility bills through energy efficiency, and preventing displacement after disasters. Thank you to everyone who shared their expertise from the stage today! 🎤
