Lindsey is the oldest of Jeff and Tina Adams’ three daughters.

Dr. Alyssa (Adams) Drake was raised from birth in Saulsville, West Virginia and is Lindsey’s younger sister. She attended Pineville Elementary School, Pineville Middle School and was Salutatorian of Class of 2010 at Wyoming East High School. Alyssa attended West Virginia University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2014, before attended and graduating from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2018. She is married to Dr. Matthew Drake and is the mother of one son, Carter, and is expecting a daughter, Hadlee, in May. The Drakes practice general dentistry and reside in Mooresville, North Carolina where they are members of the Peninsula Baptist Church.

Lindsey’s parents are Jeff Adams and Tina (Bane) Adams of Saulsville, West Virginia.

Jeff was born in 1962 in Pineville, West Virginia to Bob & Margie Adams. He grew up in Rock View and attended school in Pineville, graduating from Pineville High School in 1980. Jeff attended college at West Virginia University, Concord University and Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. He has one sister, Jennifer Adams. He has been employed by Carter Machinery for 39 years. Jeff is a lifelong member and Deacon at Cook Memorial Baptist Church.

Tina was born in 1962 to Dale and Nadine Bane. She grew up in Lillydale with her two brothers: Bud and Eric Bane, and her sister Cheryl Garner. Tina attended school in Oceana and graduated from Oceana High School in 1980. She attended West Virginia University before obtaining her degree in Education from Concord University. She then received her Masters in Graduate Studies from Marshall University. Tina worked as a teacher for the Wyoming County Board of Education for 31 years before retiring in 2017. She taught at Baileysville Elementary and Middle School, Pineville Elementary School and Pineville Middle School. Tina has been a member of the Cook Memorial Baptist Church for over thirty years, is a Sunday school teacher, and currently serves on the Finance Committee.

Together Jeff and Tina are the parents of three daughters: Lindsey, Alyssa, and Kayley, and the grandparents to two grandsons: Case and Carter, and one granddaughter: Evangeline.

Lindsey’s maternal grandparents are Kenneth “Dale” Bane and Nadine (Dickens) Bane of Clear Fork, West Virginia.

Dale was born in 1941 in Ravencliff, West Virginia to Fred and Essie (Polk) Bane. Dale spent the beginning of his life on Polk Mountain before moving to Lillydale. He attended school in Oceana. Dale is a retired coal miner, working in and around coal mines for 42 years. He was an electrician in the mines at Pocahontas Fuel (Consolidated Coal Corp., later changed to AT Massey Big Bear Mining) in Lynco. He also worked at Pioneer Fuel in Kopperston. Dale is a proud member of the UMWA (Local Union 7692 and 7604).

Nadine was born in 1945 in Pineknob, West Virginia to Carson and Erma (Reedy) Dickens. She grew up in the Peachtree area of Naoma and attended Marsh Fork High School and later Oceana High School. Nadine was a homemaker and mother to four children.
Dale and Nadine are members of The Primitive Baptist Church in Brier Creek.

Our candidate was honored to attend the drawing for ballot positioning today. Lindsey Thompson will be in the 2nd position on your ballot for Circuit Judge on May 10th!

We can’t thank the citizens of Wyoming County enough for the love and support they have shown the campaign. 77 days until Election Day. We’re going to keep the momentum going for the hardest working, honest, and experienced choice for the Highest Court in the 27th Circuit!

Lindsey’s paternal grandparents are Bob Adams and Margie (Southard) Adams of Rock View, West Virginia.

Bob was born in 1935 in Bud, West Virginia to William Ray Adams and Icie (Green) Adams. He grew up and attended school in Pineville. Bob graduated from Concord University where he was the starting point guard on the basketball team. He later received graduate degrees from West Virginia University and Appalachian State University. He was a lifelong educator/administrator in the Wyoming County school system. Bob coached boys’ basketball at Pineville High School for two years. He was the first Principal at Conley Jr. High (changed to Mullens Jr. High (9th grade)) in Mullens following the desegregation of schools. He regards this position as one of the biggest blessings of his life. Bob was later the Principal of Pineville Jr. High.

Margie was born in 1934 in Hazard, Kentucky to Reece Eckle Southard and Hattie (Dotson) Southard. Margie’s family moved to Glover when she was a baby. She grew up in Glover and attended school in Pineville. She graduated from Concord University. Margie was also a lifelong educator in the Wyoming County school system. She taught Biology and Home Economics at Oceana High School for three years then at Pineville Jr. High until retirement.

Bob and Margie are known for the Food Pantry ministry through Cook Memorial Baptist Church. They are also two of the original members of the Wyoming County camp of Gideons International.
