Kim Yates and Beth Howard were invited to do a session for KET’s Summer PD program at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset. Their presentation focused on using primary sources and KET resources to teach visual inquiry strategies to increase student engagement and curiosity.

Looking for some outdoor fun this summer? Visit a free little library!

IAL spent the day stocking the libraries at Pine Mountain State Park, Veterans Park, Newtown Park, and the Bell County Fairgrounds and they are full for the taking! Be sure to also check out our word walk and story trail, as well as our new brigance mats.

👉 Leadership Bell County Applications are OPEN!

Attention Pineville Families! Applications for the Bell County Youth Leadership Program are due June 15!

Open to incoming juniors and seniors, this prestigious program gives students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, explore careers, serve their community, and connect with local business and civic leaders.

Participation in Bell County Youth Leadership is also an excellent addition to college applications, scholarship applications, resumes, and future job opportunities. Students gain valuable experiences and leadership credentials that help them stand out as they prepare for life after high school.

Participants will:

✅ Build leadership and communication skills
✅ Explore local careers and industries
✅ Complete community service projects
✅ Network with community leaders
✅ Strengthen college and scholarship applications
