We wanted to let everyone know the Battle for the Paddle is Still On for July 11th!

Contestants can register with the QR Code in the flyer plus pay the early registration fee of $25.00 before July 11th. Guests can come by day of and pay a $10.00 per person taster fee to get an armband and help select People's Choice!

The contest starts at 9AM with contestants being allowed in early [8AM] to set up. Veggies can be pre-chopped, rice can be pre-cooked, and meat can be marinated. Just so long as EVERYTHING is cooked in a black pot.

Tasting and judging will start around Noon with the votes tallied and awards given at 3PM for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and People's Choice!

To keep all our guests in the loop, we are moving our Re-Enacting and You Workshop to June 20th. It will be at the same time as previously scheduled.

Coming June 20th is our Forts Randolph and Buhlow National Trail Day hike! We will be hosting two trail walks, with a nature hike at 10AM to 11AM with Manager Krystal Briley and a history hike from Noon to 1PM with Interpretive Ranger Benjamin Vidrine.

As it is the middle of Summer we ask everyone to please bring adequate water, sun screen, and clothes to fight off the heat!
