Pray for our Texas neighbors! Just a reminder of what could be happening here also. We have been blessed to have had a few showers and some fairly high dew points in the mornings that have help keep a little moisture in the grass and woods. Dont be fooled into believeing that it is green so it cant happen here! We have very dry conditions and extreme daytime heating that is drying everything out daily! All it takes is some windy conditions or an unmonitored burn getting too much of a head start before we get notified and we could be losing houses from wildfire spread. I know Rapides Parish is not under a burn ban but please refrain from burning until these conditions improve.

COME HELP US CELEBRATE!

The members of Ruby Kolin / Rapides Parish Fire District #7 invite you to join us as we officially put our newest apparatus, Engine 72, in service!

Tuesday, September 1st

We will hold a small traditional fire service ceremony to formally place Engine 72 in service and welcome this new addition to our fleet.

Following the ceremony, we will have an Open House for the public, with cake and ice cream for everyone to enjoy.

Bring your family and friends and come celebrate with us. We look forward to showing you around Engine 72, giving you a closer look at your fire department, and getting to know our community!

!!!Attention All Ruby Kolin Fire Department Members!!!
The new Engine 72 is scheduled to be delivered on Monday the 31st. We will have training on it that night at 6:00pm. This will be the dealer provided training for this apparatus so please try to attend.
We will spend Tuesday the 1st going over all the equipment and making sure everything is ready to put the truck in service. Anyone wanting to help with that are welcome and we will also be preparing for an open house that night.
Tuesday night we will have a public ceremony at 6:00 to formally put the truck in-service. We will have a small ceremony cake and ice cream and an open house so please make every effort to attend and bring you family and friends.
Dress code will be uniform shirts

Ruby Kolin Fire Departments sends our deepest condolences and prayers for the Meaux-Nunez Fire Departmet and Bossier Parish Fire #1. It’s difficult times like these where the Brother and sister hood of the fire service stands strongly with each other.
