Louisiana Air National Guard - 122 ASOS TACP

Louisiana Air National Guard - 122 ASOS TACP Our goal: Building three dimentional warriors. "People don't join us because we're different." "People join us because they're different."
(1)

Calling in an airstrike on just the right target at just the right time can change the tide of battle. Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Specialists imbed with Army and Marine units and do just that. One of the few true front-line combat jobs in the Air Force, TACP Specialists are known for their ability to bring overwhelming firepower to the battlefield in the form of artillery and air strikes. The training is physically, mentally and technically intense as you'll have to be able to operate under any environmental condition alongside some of the military's most elite special operations teams.

Mission: To provide detailed coordination and integration of attack aircraft into the battlefield, and to direct air strikes against enemy targets in close proximity to friendly forces.

Guys, I’m gathering resumes with JTAC experience on it. Any help would be appreciated. The company I’m with is in the final stages of the bid process on the JFO schoolhouse contract and they want to be able to show that if they get the contract, they can get resumes to fill the positions. Email it to [email protected] Here is the job desc and quals: 2.2.3. Contractor personnel shall have the additional minimum qualifications or experience. a. Minimum 6 months experience operating the Call for Fire Trainer (CFFT) simulator or Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) simulator to include turning the simulator on and off, troubleshooting the simulator and creating, loading and changing training scenarios. b. JTAC QUALIFICATIONS: Three (3) years of verifiable JTAC experience. (1) JTAC experience starts after successfully graduating from an accredited JTAC Qualification Course and being subsequently certified as a JTAC. Verifiable is defined by providing a copy of the JTAC certification (AF Form 8, AF Form 3827, or a Terminal Attack Control Evaluation form or Service equivalent), which provides the date the individual was certified as a JTAC. This ensures the certification has been documented by the Government. These are the only forms the Government will accept as verification of JTAC experience. (2) As an alternative, personnel that do not possess the above qualifications shall have audited an accredited JFO course of instruction, and meet the following: - Successfully graduated from a FAC(A) course of instruction, and shall have 3 years verifiable experience as a FAC(A). c. FAC/FAC/-(A) QUALIFICATION: Three (3) years of verifiable FAC(A) experience. FAC(A) experience starts after successful completion of a FAC(A) course of instruction. Verifiable FAC(A) experience is defined as: proof of certification logged in an Official Flight Record, AF Form 8, or Service equivalent. d. Operational Experience: Operational Experience is defined as three years at an operational unit while performing JTAC or FAC(A) duties. This time shall be active time. If claiming Guard, Reserve or other time, the total drill time shall equal 3 years. Three years at a Guard or Reserve unit drilling one weekend a month and two weeks per year does not meet this requirement. e. Combined Experience: In lieu of 3 years verifiable JTAC/FAC(A) experience, a combination of 8 years of continuous Active Military service can be combined with a minimum of 2 years of Operational JTAC/FAC(A) experience to satisfy the experience requirement.
