🚨 SCHOOL ZONE ENFORCEMENT NOTICE 🚨

Starting tomorrow, the Pineville Police Department will be conducting strict enforcement in our school zones during the following hours:

Morning: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

⚠️ ZERO TOLERANCE ENFORCEMENT

Officers will be paying close attention to:

• Speeding in School Zones WV Code §17C-6-1
Drivers are required to obey the posted school zone speed limit when applicable.

• Use of Electronic Devices While Driving WV Code §17C-14-15
West Virginia law prohibits drivers from unlawfully using handheld electronic devices while operating a motor vehicle.

School zone and distracted driving violations will be strongly enforced. Citations will be issued.

Please slow down, put the phone down, watch for students and school traffic, and obey all posted signs and speed limits.

The Registration Letter is ready for Autumnfest for those that want to setup a booth or enter the chili contest. You can come into Town Hall to fill out the form & pay $15 registration fee Monday-Thursday between 8 am to 4 pm.

Ok, here's the news everyone has been waiting for. It's always Pineville's biggest event! Interested vendors need to call Town Hall @ 732-6255 Monday through Thursday to sign up for this event. This is NOT a food truck event. Vendors are encouraged to hand out candy to the kids , and decorate their booth. Dressing up in costume is always fun, but not mandatory. There will be a prize for the best decorated booth. 🎃

Please be aware that Main St. in Pineville will be closed to regular vehicular traffic tomorrow, August 7, from 3:45pm- 8pm, for our First Friday event. Anyone parked on Main St is encouraged to move their vehicle before 3:45, so our vendors and food trucks can set up safely. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a safe, fun evening.
