For our KMLF fireworks display in Pineville, we are asking that all vehicles be off the Bell-Whitley parking lot by 10pm Thursday the 21st for the presentation.

As the Mountain Hillclimb event makes its way to Pineville this upcoming weekend, we are asking that no one park around the square, and two additional streets after 3pm on Friday, April 24th.

Closed will be Kentucky Avenue, Pine Street, and Walnut Street.

JOINT OPERATION PRESS RELEASE

On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, Chief Brandon Hollingsworth attempted a traffic stop on 40-year-old James Eric Brock of Pineville, Ky., for outstanding warrants, but he fled apprehension.

During a joint investigation between Bell County Sheriff’s Detective Hunter Luttrell and Chief Hollingsworth, a search warrant was obtained for a residence to apprehend Brock.

On Thursday, March 12, 2026, the joint operation led officers to a camper located on Roth Camp Road, where the search warrant was executed. During the search, Brock was found in the camper's bathroom. In plain view of officers was a clear rock-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine, seen on a scale. Both were found on a nightstand.

As the operation continued, officers found a large amount of a clear substance believed to be Methamphetamine, a brown substance believed to be He**in, a pill bottle containing 74 pills believed to be pressed fentanyl, and other pills believed to be Buprenorphine and Hydrocodone. Also located were three handguns, eight sets of digital scales, and a large amount of cash. Brock took ownership of all the items.

Also in the camper was 23-year-old Ariel Faith Saylor of Pineville. Among the items found was a backpack that Saylor took ownership of with a blue container that held a brown substance believed to be He**in inside. The backpack also contained a clear pipe with a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine.

Both Brock and Saylor were arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.

James Eric Brock has been charged with:

Trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams Methamphetamine), trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (He**in), possession of Ma*****na, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of controlled Substance – 2nd degree (drug unspecified), trafficking in controlled substance – 1st offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl derivatives), possession of controlled substance – 1st degree – 1st offense (Hydrocodone), and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia. He was also served the outstanding warrants.

Ariel Faith Saylor was charged with:

Trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams Methamphetamine) (complicity), possession of controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (He**in), possession of controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.

Deputies who assisted were Samson Churchwell, Sgt. Austin Poindexter, Sgt. Jody Risner, K9 Keith Fuson and K9 Steve, and Court Security Officers Brad Dye and Derek Jones.
