📣 **Pineville Farmers Market — Next Monday!** 🌽🍅🛍️
We’ve received quite a bit of feedback regarding the Farmers Market being held on a Monday, so we want to clear up a few things about what this actually is.
This is NOT a City-run event, and NO taxpayer dollars are being used for it.
No City employee is being paid to set it up, take it down, manage it, watch over it, organize vendors, or work the event in any capacity. There is no additional cost to taxpayers associated with this opportunity.
This is simply about allowing people to use OUR community Square — FREE OF CHARGE — on their own time.
If you have produce, baked goods, crafts, homemade items, plants, or something else you’d like to sell, you are welcome to bring your own setup, set it up yourself, sell your items, and clean up your area when you leave. There is no vendor fee.
We absolutely understand that many people work on Mondays. This opportunity may not work for everyone, and that’s okay! It is simply an additional opportunity for anyone who happens to be off, is already in town, or wants to stop by.
The Bunker Hill Quilting Club has also been serving lunch on the Square every last Monday for several years. We simply thought, why not build onto something that is already happening? Maybe someone comes for lunch and buys a tomato, a loaf of bread, a craft, or something else from a neighbor while they’re there.
No big production.
No taxpayer-funded event.
No City employees working it.
No vendor fees.
Just neighbors having the opportunity to use OUR Square for FREE and support one another.❤️
Come sell. Come shop. Grab some lunch. Or just stop by and visit.
That’s all this is — an opportunity.
