There is a back-log of permits in the county planning office. The renovation may take longer than I thought. I hope the driveway permit comes soon because I should have estimates this week and I’m excited to begin exterior beautification. Meanwhile, thank you to the folks who toy-bombed the Dog Library! There are so many great toys available now.

We are waiting on permits and a bit of inspiration around the interior layout of the cottage before any renovation work can start. There are so many details to consider! Meanwhile, we are certainly enjoying the community interest in the Little Free Library. Thank you to the donor of the Nancy Drew books. Come on ladies, it may have been a minute, but you know you loved them!

Here is the latest interactive scan of the property. The demo is now almost complete. Next step is deciding to raise (or not) the property. After that, we need an electrical plan, heat, and an inside bathroom! Feel free to give opinions and enjoy!

Look who visited the Free Little Library at Myrtle Cottage on Saint George Island in Piney Point today! It’s beautiful Mae, the heroine of Mae’s Big Adventure, written by local author, Wanda Etheridge. Mae placed copies of both of her books in the library and left several more with the library steward. Come and get ‘em! Mae promises to return in the spring for the library’s grand opening.
