Good evening, Mountaineer families. This is your principal, Mr. Cook, calling with your weekly update.
Monday is Day 4 for specials.
This is a big week. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be taking End-of-Grade tests. Tuesday is the Reading EOG, Wednesday is the Math EOG, and Thursday is the Science EOG for 5th graders only. Our students have worked hard all year, and it is time to show what they know! Please make sure students are getting a good night's rest, eating breakfast, and coming to school on time.
I want to ensure all students and families are aware of North Carolina testing policies and procedures. Schools are required to ensure that wireless devices are not permitted during testing sessions. MP3 players, cameras, cell phones, personal learning devices, personal computers, smartpens, smartwatches, smart glasses, and any other electronic devices are prohibited during the administration of all state tests. Please take a moment to talk with your child and remind them of this requirement prior to testing. Thank you for your support and cooperation as we work together to ensure a smooth and successful testing environment for all students.
