Pinole Senior Center Welcome to the page of the Pinole Senior Center Club, an active and fun group of adults age 50 and older.

Our mission is to contribute to physical, emotional and social growth, development and achievement of senior citizens, as well as to provide seniors with opportunities to participate in community service and the opportunity for involvement in the operation and decision-making of the Pinole Senior Center.

It definitely feels like summer so let's cool down with the July Newsletter from the Pinole Senior Center.

As a reminder, we will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, but we will reopen for limited hours on Friday, July 5th, from 8 am - 1 pm.

The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano County will be providing bags of fresh produce every second Monday of the month...

The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano County will be providing bags of fresh produce every second Monday of the month. The next drive-thru distribution is Monday, July 8th from 9 AM to 10 AM (or as supplies last) at the Pinole Senior Center parking lot, 2500 Charles Ave. You do NOT need to be a member of the Pinole Senior Center or a senior to receive food. Quantities are limited. First come first serve. One bag of produce per household. This will be a contact-less event, please follow the directions from staff and volunteers when you arrive. Parking or exiting your vehicle will not be allowed. Please open your vehicle's trunk when you enter the parking lot. Food items will be placed in the trunk only by staff/volunteers. If you have any questions, contact the Recreation Coordinator at [email protected] or call the Front Desk at (510) 724-9800.

Come stay cool this summer at the Pinole Senior Center Summer Craft Fair on Saturday, July 27th. Vendors will be selling various crafts and goods. The event is free for the community. Vendor registration is now open! Anyone interested in becoming a vendor is encouraged to sign up in person at the Front Desk of the Senior Center or online at https://pinolerec.recdesk.com/Community/Program

The Pinole Senior Center will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast in conjunction with the Pinole Car Show on Sunday, June 23rd. Meals are $12 and breakfast is available from 7 AM – 10 AM. The meal will include the following: pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and orange juice. Meals are first come, first serve. Limited quantities will be available. The Pinole Senior Center will be partnering with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano County on the Senior Food Program. Low-income senior citizens ages 55+ will be able to receive free groceries, including healthy pantry staples, eggs, cheese and assorted meats twice a month. The program at the Pinole Senior Center is available for Pinole senior residents ONLY. It will be every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. The next distribution will be on Tuesday, June 11th and June 25th. The distribution time will be 10 AM - 11 AM.

Individuals interested in the program must complete the Senior Food Program Application. Applications will be available at the Front Desk of the Senior Center and can also be found on the Pinole Senior Center website: https://www.ci.pinole.ca.us/city_government/senior_center

Applications can be submitted to the Pinole Senior Center Front Desk Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM - 1 PM and on the day of the food pick up. Individuals must bring proof of age such as an ID or Driver's License and proof of home address which can be a PG&E bill, water bill, or statement listing out the name and residence of the individual.
