W. Alan Summers Municipal Library W. Alan Summers Municipal Library (Clay Library) is located in Clay, Alabama, and is a member of the Jefferson County Library Cooperative.

Housed in a facility completed in 2018, the W.Alan Summers Municipal Library is one of the newest libraries in the Jefferson County Library Cooperative, opening in 2009. Funded primarily by the City of Clay, with support services provided by the Jefferson County Library Cooperative, we currently hold over 9000 items, including bestseller fiction and non-fiction, children's and teen books, books on

CD, and a rapidly growing DVD collection that includes the latest new releases. We have computers accessible to the public. We offer programs and special events for both children and adults, as well as one-on-one computer and eReader help sessions. Make plans to visit us soon. You might be surprised by what you find!
