Kermit Johnson Elementary School Johnson Elementary School serves roughly 700 students in grades 3-5. April 17, 2017.

Other schools in our feeder pattern include Pinson Elementary School, Rudd Middle School, and Pinson Valley High School. This is the OFFICIAL Kermit Johnson Elementary page, managed by Kermit Johnson Elementary teachers and staff. We will use Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to celebrate, brag, and share positive comments about our students, parents, staff and school. ❤️💛Not only did we celebrate our students for Perfect Attendance, but we also celebrated our amazing Kermit Johnson Elementary School employees who achieved Perfect Attendance for the month of August!

❤️💛Each employee with perfect attendance received a Perfect Attendance Certificate, and their names were entered into a special drawing for a gift card. We were excited to select THREE lucky winners who received Amazon gift cards.

❤️💛Thank you to all of our faculty and staff members who made attendance a priority during the month of August. Your commitment, dependability, and dedication to showing up each day make a difference for our students and our entire KJES family!

❤️💛Congratulations to all of our Kermit Johnson Elementary School students who achieved PERFECT ATTENDANCE for the month of August!

❤️💛We are so proud of these students for showing up each day ready to learn, grow, and shine! Each student participated in a special group photo and received an individual Perfect Attendance Certificate to recognize this awesome accomplishment.

❤️💛Being at school every day matters. Every day of instruction is another opportunity to learn, grow, and reach your goals. We hope to see even MORE students earn perfect attendance in the months ahead!

💵❤️💛On Monday, our Kermit Johnson Elementary School faculty and staff received a special “You Deserve an Extra Payday” treat from the administration team!

💵❤️💛Since it was both PAYDAY and the last day of the month, we thought it was the perfect time to remind our incredible faculty and staff just how much they are appreciated! Each teacher, faculty member, and staff member received a mini Payday candy bar along with a note that said, “You Deserve an Extra Payday for All You Do!”

💛 Kermit Johnson Elementary School is going GOLD for Childhood Cancer Awareness! 💛

On Wednesday, September 23rd, we invite all of our students, faculty, and staff to wear YELLOW as we come together to recognize Childhood Cancer Awareness.

Every yellow shirt, ribbon, and accessory is a small way to show big support for the courageous children and families impacted by childhood cancer. 🎗️💛

At KJES, we believe in supporting one another, spreading hope, and being a light in our community. Together, we can help raise awareness and show that no child fights alone!

🍂🦃 Kermit Johnson Elementary School Thanksgiving Meal 🦃🍂

KJES families, we are excited to invite parents and guardians to join their student for a special Thanksgiving Meal on November 5th and 6th! ❤️💛

🍽️ Adult meals are $9.00 per person.
🎟️ There is a limit of two adult tickets per student.
📅 Class schedules and meal times will be announced soon.

🎃 Challenge ACCEPTED, Kermit Johnson family! September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we’re ALL IN for the 👻 JEFCOED Trick-or-Treat Attendance Challenge!

Throughout September, our classes will compete for the chance to experience the ultimate Halloween field trip! The elementary/intermediate classes with the highest average daily attendance will head to the Board of Education on Friday, October 30!

If one of our classes wins, students will:

👻Dress up in costume
🍬Trick-or-treat through the Central Office
🤝Meet Superintendent Dr. Gonsoulin
