✨ This past weekend, we had the opportunity to join the ribbon-cutting and open house celebration for CHEST | Center for Health Empowerment of South Texas! 🎉🏥

CHEST is bringing together community members, organizations, and leaders to create meaningful, long-term change on the South Side and improve access to health and wellness resources for families across our community. 💪🏽❤️

It was inspiring to see so many dedicated leaders and partners come together in support of this important mission, including Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai, Councilman Edward Mungia, Dr. Ochoa of Texas A&M University, Rebecca Viagran of the South Texas Business Partnership, former Councilwoman Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia, and many other passionate community advocates. 👏🏽✨

We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate this exciting milestone and look forward to seeing the positive impact CHEST will continue to make for South Texas families and communities. 🌟

This month, we encourage families, caregivers, and community partners to start conversations about mental health. Checking in with a loved one, asking how they're really doing, and listening with compassion can help someone feel supported and connected. 💚

By raising awareness and reducing stigma, we can help create a community where seeking help is seen as a sign of strength, not weakness.

SJRC Texas | Belong was honored to be part of the 210 Ready Set Rise Summit, bringing together community leaders and partners to support children and families as they prepare for a successful school year. 💙

Our team joined a panel alongside Department of Homeland Security, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA), Bexar County Judge Sakai, and County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark, sharing in conversations focused on safety, support, and stronger communities.

With back-to-school supplies, haircuts, and valuable family resources available, the event reflected how when we come together to support families and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive, we build brighter futures for all.
